  1. lasikruinedme! you are a damn bullshit.. if lasik ruined your life how come you can resist to use the computer knowing that computer is contributing to bad eyesight and bad eye health! i am really suspecting you as the person behind all the comments by users who disagreed having lasik! you are a poser! actor! if you are really ruined by lasik then show your fucking pictures…

  2. SORRY 4 SUCH A LONG COMMENT
Nobody tells us adequately what kind of problems we can have after lasik? Doctor Heraldo de Sa Martins told me only that I could wear light glasses “sometimes” if I felt like doing it. Nothing about “high-order aberrations”, which I had to research by myself. I’m still a slave 2 my glasses and now I can’t wear contact lenses. Plus my vision’s completely messed up and no glasses can fix the glare, ghosts it gets worse etc, which get a lot worse in darker environments.

  3. The doctor said he could “retouch” the first surgery as though he was not speaking of a new surgery! I hate the terms they choose to minimize the consequences of the bad results. In search of proper information, I had to copy and paste texts from the internet with font (size?) 60 to be able to understand them. You know what he said one month after the surgery, when I wanted explanations about my state? “Patients who read the internet SUCK”.

  4. At least I am not in a depression anymore. I had completely lost trust in medicine and doctors. I only regained it by meeting young good professionals at my new C.S.I. job.
My eyes were surgered in 2004 in Recife, Brazil. I met in person another patient with severe injuries made by the machine of the same doctor – and he is a doctor too.
I have an appointment tomorrow with another doctor, very well recomended, in Recife as well, and I do hope to get good news about the fixing my problem.

  5. Most prospective lasik patients aren’t going to go to your doctor, so it’s important to clarify that the procedure itself can be the problem, even if nothing goes wrong. You can be left with degraded quality of vision, loss of contrast sensitivity, halos, glare, bad dry eye. All of this can be permanent regardless of how well you’re screened or who performs the procedure. I have terrible focusing issues and bad eyestrain. None of this is uncommon at all. Don’t expect to be informed by any surge

  6. I feel for you… lasik completely destroyed my life. I never imagined life sucking so bad before lasik, was the worst decision of my life.

  7. I have been completely ruined by lasik. Dr. Keon Nia and the rest of the LasikMD staff are ruining peoples lives for their own financial gain.

Lasik doctors are not doing a good thing for the world, I’m sure people have been killed because of lasik night vision problems on the streets.

People have commited suicide because the complications that they suffered after lasik were too much for them to handle.

  8. Population studies have confirmed the true risk of wearing contact lenses, and have confirmed what we have know for over a decade. The risk of contracting an infection from a daily wear contact is 1 in 10,000. With extended wear it is about 1 in 500. Of those, only 13% will lose a line or more of vision. This makes contacts a factor of 1000 times safer than lasik. He’s misrepresenting facts in episode 3

  9. I remember seeing this before I had lasik. They make it seem so simple. Now my vision is messed up in ways I couldn’t have imagined and my eyes hurt all the time. Annoying how the only risk mentioned in the entire thing is when she gets laughed at for some question about a bubble under the flap.

  10. Everyone forgets that Lasik is NOT the only type of Laser eye surgery!!!! There are safer alternatives like PRK. Its less popular because it takes months to recover. But its safer and worth the wait in my opinion.

  11. my life has been destroyed by my lasik procedure performed by Keon Nia. I will soon be on welfare as I am unable to work due to the pain and crappy vision.

  12. i like kristin but seriously ” i’m going to put my contacts in just so you can see what i go through everyday” oh my god, its not that hard

  13. Honestly I ALWAYS thought we was much more beautiful than Lauren Conrad who in reality plays the victim WAY too much in ALL her shows. She is rather snotty, uncultured (despite her attempts to look otherwise) and uneducated. Kristin however is college educated, naturally beautiful, looks very sweet, and decently smart. Its a shame she didn’t get the opportunity to get her own show and Lauren Conrad did. The only thing Lauren Conrad is the victim of is stupidity.

  14. The cornea has NOTHING to do with the production of tears. Get your anatomy correct rather than spreading pseudoscience…. And please, for those reading these posts… beware of conspiracy theorists as they will never be proven wrong and rarely are their arguments based upon sound facts – for example, anyone who goes against the theory is with the conspiracy. Anytime you read something like this, think twice…. Do YOUR OWN research.
